What is a Business Shared Cap?
A Business Shared Cap is a plan that can be shared between a set number of employees in your business. This is particularly advantageous if monthly mobile spend varies across different employees.
It works by sharing a minimum monthly spend across your employees and 'capping' what you pays each month for national voice calls, some international voice calls, national & international SMS, national & international MMS, Voicemail, 13/1300/1800 numbers & directory assistance. They also share a handset credit pool to be used on new mobiles.
Can any business go on a Business Shared Cap?
Not all businesses are suited to the Business Shared Cap plans. As is the case with any rate plan, you should consider your business needs before signing up to a Business shared cap. As the Business shared caps have a higher minimum spend, businesses with low mobile usage may not be able to take advantage of the full amount. We recommend you speak to one of our experienced consultants to determine the best plan for your business.

You can keep track of your monthly spend using the My3 service on your handset or online.
If you do exceed your monthly cap, this excess will be charged at the standard per minute call rates, on top of your current cap plan. Standard rates for other services included in the cap will also apply.
You will roam onto most of Telstra's GSM network that covers 96% of the population. You will lose access to some services including Video Calling and video content like Mobile TV.
